Welcome to SWFL Rattlers Lacrosse
SWFL Rattlers Lacrosse is a non-profit organization whose primary commitment is teaching the game of lacrosse to area youth, while also instilling a respect for the game, their teammates and coaches, and ultimately themselves. We offer recreation teams for boys 6 through 14. All of our coaches are USA Lacrosse certified. Players of all skill levels are taught the fundamentals and strategies required to develop into a complete player.
Stick Skills
Consistent training with both hands to help with passing, catching and dodging from beginners to elite.
Offensive Awareness
Teaching youth the ability to see the field, create space and move without the ball.
Defense
Defense is a team game, but body position, control and discipline play an important role. These areas we focus a great deal.
For the love of the game
We are family and we love this game! We stress the importance of having fun to create positive memories for all ages!!
Youth lacrosse age groups
Youth lacrosse is broken down age brackets: 8u, 10u, 12u,14u. We encourage beginners to be patient with the learning process. Coaches will guide and help nurture the skills required to pass and catch but the real work happens at home. The more time our children have with a stick in his hands the faster they will pick up the sport.
